BASIC SAFETY
Pike values security above all else. Please be cautious of scammers, Web3 is rife with crypto drainers and other forms of malicious attacks. Here are some tips to keep you safe:
- ON DISCORD
- The team or mods will NEVER DM YOU FIRST on Discord.
- If you need to reach a team member via Discord, first verify the user you are messaging has the Team role and is a member of the official Pike server.
- We recommend you keep your DMs closed for your own safety. Check out the šØādm-disable channel in the Discord!
- ON TWITTER/X
- We will never post about surprise airdrops or claims.
- We will never ask you to connect to any website outside of pike.finance.
- We will never ask you to claim any special prizes by connecting your wallet
- We will never ask you for your seed phrase or to input your seed phrase onto a website.
- ANYWHERE ELSE
- We will never send you an email to claim a free NFT or airdrop.
- We will never send you an email offering a job at Pike that you didnāt apply for.
- And we will never ask you to beta test a game.
STAYING INFORMED
- Please be careful of scammers impersonating the official Pike social media accounts, team members and mods.
- Some scammers have blue or gold checkmarks on Twitter/X to make themselves look legit.
- Always triple check the account username to ensure you are interacting with a legitimate account. Is it spelled correctly?
- If you are unsure, ASK US! Moderators are available in the Discord to answer your questions and guide you to official links.
- The team will always cross-post important announcements.
- New products, airdrops, announcements, etc. will be posted on the Discord announcements channel, on Pikeās official Twitter/X account, and will be shown on the pike.finance website.
- If you see an announcement which hasnāt been posted to these 3 places, it is likely a scam. Avoid interacting with it.
- If you are unsure if something is a scam, please ask in the Discord and a mod will be happy to assist you.
LINKS
- Please only use links from the šāofficial-links channel in Discord, the Official Links section in this Community Dashboard, or on pike.finance. Links on our website can be found in the websiteās footer.
- Social media is full of fake phishing links. Many scammers will try to use a sense of urgency to make you think you need to act NOW. Here are some tips to avoid falling for it:
- Scam links and phishing URLs will often appear in the comment sections of Pikeās posts on Twitter/X.
- Pike now ends all threaded tweets with a ātweet finisher,ā meaning that is the final tweet the account will post.
- If you see additional tweets in the comments section from Pike, itās a scam.
- Example of common fake posts:
- Mint/claim a free NFT.
- Join a social media platform to get an airdrop.
- Join a raffle by clicking a link and connecting your wallet.
